Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty in their first match of this World Cup against Ghana. After scoring from the penalty spot, he became the first-ever male player to score in five consecutive WC. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner extended his international goalscoring tally to 118, after striking a powerful shot to beat the keeper.
