There are few players in the world who show longevity in their careers and that too at the highest level. Only a handful of the footballers have been able to participate in 5 World Cups, meaning they were at the top of their game for at least 16 long years.

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mexico’s Andres Guardado, and ‘Memo’ Ochoa are playing their fifth WC this year, putting them among icons such as Antonio Carbajal, Gianluigi Buffon, Rafa Marquez and Lothar Matthaus.
