The 19-year-old will be playing for Burnley’s U21 team now that he has officially joined them. His contract with the Clarets is for two years, till 2026. And it’ll be interesting to see if he can break into the first team in the Championship.
Mendes, like his father, can play as an attacking midfielder and primarily features as a right winger. However, he has been used in a versatile manner so far.
While Ronaldinho never played in England, his son now has the chance to try out a whole new experience.
