Roma have registered Ainsley Maitland-Niles on the Serie A system, according to Fabrizio Romano. This means that they have completed the signing of the player by completing all the formalities. Now, it is only a matter of time before they make the official announcement.

The player has been signed on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season, with no buy option included. The loan fee for the player is around €500,000, with the same amount expected in the form of bonuses as well.

With the amount of young talent that Arsenal have in midfield, it only makes sense that the youngster was sent out to earn minutes under Jose Mourinho in Italy. He could not find minutes under Mikel Arteta for the first part of the season, and has moved abroad to further his career as a result.

The likes of Tammy Abraham and Chris Smalling are from England in the Portuguese’s squad, which will help him get adjusted quicker.

Roma are yet to make the official announcement about his arrival, but it is only a matter of time before they confirm his arrival. Although there is no option to buy the player, the two clubs could meet to discuss a permanent transfer once the loan spell is complete.

He could be in contention to make his debut for the Giallorossi in their next game against Juventus, with Mourinho needing cover on the wide positions.
