Roberto Firmino Al Nassr transfer: Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are close to signing Roberto Firmino on a free transfer. The Brazilian recently left Liverpool after an eight-year spell with them. He is now free to choose another club, and a proposal has been made by Al Nassr to sign the forward.

A complete agreement has not been reached as of yet, but there is optimism on the side of the club that they will be able to get the deal over the line.

There was interest from Saudi Arabia over a transfer as early as January. But, the player decided to finish the season with Liverpool before making a move. And now, the time has come for him to make a decision over his future.

Real Madrid were also rumoured as one of the clubs interested in signing him. Los Blancos needed to replace Karim Benzema following the Frenchman’s surprise move to Al Ittihad. However, they have signed Joselu on loan from Espanyol, and have decided to not sign Roberto Firmino.

As a result, a move to Al Nassr seems likely for the Brazilian even though he still has a few years left at his peak. Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Al Nassr during the January transfer window, paving the way for many other European players to make the move as well. And alongside Firmino, Hakim Ziyech and Marcelo Brozovic could also make the move to Al Nassr.
