Robert Lewandowski is one of the best No. 9 of football right now. He has spent a decade in the Bundesliga, first with Borussia Dortmund and now currently with Bayern Munich.
He has been linked with top European clubs all throughout his career. Real Madrid always wants the best players playing for their team. They were also linked with Lewandowski.
The Poland international revealed that Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and former talisman Cristiano Ronaldo tried to persuade him to sign for Real Madrid after a Champions League game in 2017. He confirmed the rumours: “Yes [it’s true].”
Lewandowski instead stayed at Bayern Munich where he claims to be happy. He said: “You can go to the Spanish league or to one in another country, another great club. But for me, it was not the most important thing. Where I am I have been able to reach my maximum level and I want to continue doing well.”
“I am at one of the best clubs in the world, and I know I can be happy here. We are at a very high level, from the playing squad to the sporting facilities. It’s all much easier when playing for a club like this.”
Robert Lewandowski is having a hugely successful career at Bayern Munich. He has scored an incredible 230 goals in 275 games for Bayern over less than six seasons. This season, he has already scored 39 goals with 25 of those coming in the Bundesliga.
