Robert Lewandowski scored twice in Barcelona’s 5-0 win over Cuenta in the Copa del Rey. The Polish striker now has a tally of 22 goals in 23 games, and he is now set to pass Luis Suarez, David Villa, Samuel Eto’o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in terms of their debut season tallies.
The former Bayern Munich talisman has performed very well in Spain, and is currently the top scorer in La Liga. It is only halfway through the season, and he has ample time to add to his numbers and finish the campaign with some astounding figures.

Suarez was not allowed to play for the entire season, because he bit Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup. As a result, he finished his first campaign with Barcelona playing 43 games and scoring 25 goals.
His best year as a Barcelona player, however, will be difficult to achieve since he scored 59 goals in 53 games. However, Lewandowski only needs to score one more goal to surpass David Villa.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored 22 in 46 games, and Robert Lewandowski has already matched that figure. As a result, with one more strike, he will be ahead of two icons of the sport.
And down the line, he has a chance to surpass Samuel Eto’o, who netted 29 goals in 45 games. Ronaldo Nazario, on the other hand, will be difficult to match – as he scored 47 goals in 49 games. But considering his scoring record from even a year ago, that seems very much possible.
