Following Manchester City‘s 22/23 Premier League title win, Riyad Mahrez has become the African player with the most PL titles.
The Algerian has lifted the trophy four times with City, and was the star player in Leicester City’s miraculous 2016 win, taking his total tally to five. He was previously tied with Didier Drogba at four league titles, but has now moved past the Chelsea legend.

The Algerian has played a significant role for the team this season, scoring five goals and providing ten assists in 28 league games. He has been in and out of the starting line-up, but has performed very professionally and has made an impact even off the bench.
Riyad Mahrez made the move to Manchester in 2018 for €68 million, and has been a key part of Guardiola’s plans for the last five years. He extended his deal with the club last year, and his current deal runs until 2025.
At 32, the winger is a seasoned veteran and can provide a lot of experience as he rotates with Phil Foden on the right flank. He is as skillful as ever, and is one of the top scoring African players in the Premier League as well, with 82 goals to his name during his time in England so far.
