Universal Pictures arrives with a funny-bloody vampire flick titled ‘Renfield’. The new trailer explores the adventure of Dracula’s titular minion. The story of the vampire flick is dynamic between Rehfield with his big boss like the henchman has tried to differentiate himself from the long shadow just after decades of service. While he has fallen head over the heels for the spirited and perpetually angry traffic about the cop Rebecca Quincy in this modern-day New Orleans, at the end he has taken the decision to leave the employment of the vampire, leading into the hilarity with the drama like they have been sort out those problems in their relationship.
The new trailer has been exposed, we can see Hoult’s Renfield collaborating in group therapy to flee from the nightmare of the boss Dracula. In this adventure of leaving the dead-end job, he has tasted what it feels like to be a hero. Cage has made a grand appearance in this new trailer by presenting Dracula, who is terrific with a frank attitude.
The film is a blend of comedy, drama, horror, and romance that explores the dynamic between Dracula and Rehfield with Renfield’s newfound love for Rebecca. It seems that Cage has previously told there was a” comedic pop-art attitude” for the movie that hints about the campy, funny adventure for the servant and also for his master. Cage has also been told that he took such heavy inspiration from Nosferatu’s Count Orlok to get the more haunting side of vampires. The movie was provided an R rating before its release. Previously, the director Chris McKay warned about fears, telling it was no more planned to represent as a straight-cut comedy, but include some comedic elements.
Renfield: Cast
The film features Rick and Morty and Community writer Ryan Ridley who penned the script for the film. The original idea for Renfield, however, came from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman is serving as a producer and previously assured that there will be plenty of violence in the film. With that talented trio working together, it instills confidence in Renfield to deliver a mix of comedy, horror, and adventure to rival that of Taika Waititi’s What We Do in the Shadows.
Aside from its starry trio of Hoult, Cage, and Awkwafina, Renfield will also feature Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Bess Rouss, and James Moses Black among its ensemble. While Hoult will be the leading man, Cage has been shaping up to be the huge draw of the film from the very beginning.
Renfield: Release Date
The horror-comedy drama film has set to hit theaters on 14th April 2023.
