AC Milan are set to miss out on yet another big signing, as Renato Sanches now seems intent on a move to PSG instead of the Rossoneri. Former Lille boss Christophe Galtier is set to become the new manager of the club, and wants the Portuguese midfielder at the club as he begins a new project.
It is an interesting situation considering that Milan had offered Lille a higher transfer fee than PSG are offering right now. The Ligue 1 champions have made a bid worth only €10 million for the player, while Milan’s bid worth €18 million was rejected, even though the player had agreed personal terms.
Renato Sanches wants only PSG move now
The Serie A champions recently missed out on the signing of Sven Botman to Newcastle United, who completed negotiations swiftly in the last few days. They have announced the signing of the centre-back in the last few days as well.
And now, they are set to miss out on another Lille player that was on their shortlist for the last several months. For Paulo Maldini and the rest of the team, this is not encouraging news since they will need reinforcements for the outgoing Franck Kessie, and Alessio Romagnoli.
More clarity on the situation surrounding Renato Sanches is expected in the coming days. He was pursued by Arsenal over the last few weeks as well, but is seemingly intent to join the top side in France ahead of the new season.
