Nottingham Forest could soon sign their 20th player of the window in Renan Lodi. The Atletico Madrid left-back is close to joining the Premier League returnees on a loan deal, with an option to buy.
The Rojiblancos will be moving for Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham, who previously featured for Sevilla and their rivals, Real Madrid. Talks are still on for the two players to change clubs, and should be finalised in the coming days.
Renan Lodi and Sergio Reguilon to switch clubs
Antonio Conte has made it clear that Sergio Reguilon is not in his plans for the coming season. The Italian prefers having Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon on the left side of his back three, and Reguilon has not been involved at all this season.
As a result, the player is on his way out with Atletico being the most probable destination for him. The Spaniard is expected to return to his home country on a loan deal as well.
Renan Lodi’s loan to Nottingham Forest will be worth €5 million. The option to make the move permanent will be available to the Tricky Trees next summer for €30 million. Negotiations are now going on between the player and the club on personal terms, in order to finalise the move.
Nottingham Forest have had the most impressive transfer window in all of Europe. They have been able to build a brand new squad, in hopes of staying up in the Premier League this season.
