ReMarkable has announced the release of the reMarkable 2 e-ink tablets on Amazon in India. This tablet is intended exclusively for note-taking, document review, and book reading.
reMarkable 2 e-ink is advertised as “the paper tablet,” and it certainly lives up to that claim. It is lightweight and portable. It can be used for reading, taking notes, and document review. Along with useful add-ons like a Type Folio tactile keyboard and stylus, the company sells them. The pricing of the Remarkable 2 has already been stated, and it will be on sale throughout the nation later this month.
reMarkable 2 e-ink features and pricing
Users can take notes with the Marker Plus, which is designed to provide the exact sensation of a genuine pen with an integrated eraser, on the 10.3-inch HD e-ink display of the reMarkable 2 e-ink. For writing on the paper tablet, this pen attaches magnetically and simulates friction similar to that of paper. After the initial year trial period expires, the Connect subscription costs Rs 299 per month or Rs 2,990 per year.
The reMarkable 2 e-ink is powered by Codex, an operating system based on Linux, and users can access cloud-based mobile and desktop apps by connecting the device to a Wi-Fi network. Both an inbuilt 3,000 mAh battery and a USB-C connection are present. In addition to having a two-week battery life, the tablet includes a one-year Connect subscription that provides limitless cloud storage.
The first bundle costs Rs 43,999 and includes the reMarkable 2 tablet and the Marker Plus stylus. For Rs 53,799, the second package comes with the reMarkable 2 tablet, Marker Plus stylus, and Book Folio in gray polymer weave. You can also get the Type Folio and the Marker Plus pen separately for Rs 13,599 and Rs 19,499, respectively.
For a price of Rs. 1,000, Amazon is currently taking pre-orders for the tablet. On January 19, at 11 p.m. IST, the tablet will go on sale. Notably, the bundle that costs Rs. 53,799 also includes a Type Folio in addition to the ReMarkable 2. The Type Folio keyboard cover and Marker Plus pen are available individually for Rs. 19,499 and Rs. 13,599, respectively.
