At its 47th Annual General Meeting, Reliance Jio announced a brand-new AI-based service dubbed the JioPhonecall AI. The evolution in artificial intelligence is used as a feature to be implemented directly into the daily phone calls of Jio users. Developed as Part of Jio’s “Connected Intelligence” vision, the JioPhonecall AI can be used to record, transcribe, and translate phone conversations, making it easier to search, share, and understand across different languages.
The All New JioPhonecall AI Feature
Jio says JioPhonecall AI is intended to democratize the use of AI just as dialing a number. For this feature, Jio has given a separate mobile number and you can call that number on any ongoing call the same way as we add one more participant. To start using JioPhonecall AI, users need to add the JioPhonecall AI number (1-800-732673) during their ongoing call. After hearing a welcome message, they can press #1 to start recording and transcribing the conversation.
The AI service listens to and converts spoken words into text in real-time. For transparency, the service periodically notifies the caller that the call is being recorded. Users can pause the transcription by pressing #2 and resume by pressing #1. To end the AI phone call process, they simply press #3.
After the call, the AI stores all recordings transcriptions notes, and translations in Jio Cloud, ensuring they are secure and accessible at any time. JioPhonecall AI has a number of useful functions to take care of and save your phone calls. It will inherently record and save phone calls on the Jio Cloud so that you can easily make use of them to revisit past conversations.
It also enables users to transcribe live voice into text form for an easier refresher of important segments without being forced to replay the calls. In addition, the AI service can capture long conversations into summaries to allow users a faster understanding of the key points and provide multi-language support for real-time language translation between native speakers.
Jio also offers users the ability to store their phone call recordings and related data in Jio Cloud. Alongside real-time recording and transcription, JioPhonecall AI ensures that all user data, including call recordings, transcripts, summaries, and translations, is securely stored. The integration with Jio Cloud includes a Welcome Offer that provides 100 GB of free cloud storage, along with privacy and security features. Jio Cloud also allows users to store and share photos, videos, documents, and more.
