Reliance Jio has launched two new value plans after TRAI’s latest mandate that offers unlimited voice and SMS benefits without internet connectivity. The announcement comes soon after Bharti Airtel launched standalone plans also. But this pricing by Jio is marginally lower than what its rival company charges, thus making these plans way more attractive among users seeking an affordable option.

Reliance Jio Launches New ₹458 and ₹1,958 Plans with Voice & SMS Benefits
The plans were recently launched and listed on Jio’s website. The initial plan costs ₹458 and is valid for 84 days with unlimited calls and 1,000 SMS. The second plan costs ₹1,958 for unlimited voice calling, and 3,600 SMS for 365 days. Both plans also include access to JioTV, JioCloud, and the JioCinema app, although premium content is not included. The base ₹458 plan is cheaper than Airtel’s ₹499 offering for the same validity period.

The ₹1,899 plan, which is no longer visible on Jio’s website, is expected to be replaced by a ₹2,249 plan offering 336 days of validity and 24GB total data.
Additionally, a new ₹539 plan with 6GB total data and 84 days validity is rumored to be in the works, although no official confirmation has been made. For now, Jio’s cheapest prepaid plan starts at ₹198, offering 2GB of daily data for 14 days. Meanwhile, the ₹199 plan with 28 days of 2GB daily data has been revised to ₹299 for existing users, while new subscribers are charged ₹349. Jio has yet to officially announce these updates, leaving room for further adjustments in its prepaid offerings.
