It seems Jio is on the run to destroy the competition in the telecom industry, and it is going on to add new subscribers every month. Only Reliance Jio and Airtel are the gainers here, and the rest of them are losing their ground, especially Vodafone Idea.

According to the latest TRAI Subscription Report for July 2021, Reliance Jio gains over a whooping 65 lakh subscribers, which is three times more than what Airtel added. So, the people who are losing their faith have been continuously ditching Vodafone Idea and BSNL.

Reliance Jio has added new 65 lakh subscribers, says TRAI

Jio added 6.5Mn+ subscribers, whereas Airtel added 1.9Mn+ subscribers; on the other hand, Vodafone Idea & BSNL lost 1.4Mn & 1Mn+ subscribers, respectively. Airtel, the second giant, is still doing good, but BSNL, as we discussed in the previous TRAI report, is losing its grounds badly.

While MTNL also lost 5,874 subscribers, Reliance Jio now has the most active subscribers in the month of July 2021. This goes to prove the service and features for the price is what Indian people want, and Jio is providing that but at the cost of becoming the largest private sector company.

Reliance Jio has added new 65 lakh subscribers, says TRAI

Currently, the market share stands at 37.34% for Reliance Jio, 29.83% for Bharti Airtel and 22.91% for Vodafone Idea. However, the amount of people switching to Jio and Airtel is a worrying sign for VI and BSNL, the only major PSU that now owns less than 10% of the market share.

Though private firms are doing a much better job with their affordable rates and better service mainly, however, with no existence of PSUs brings a monopoly for private firms.
