Reliance Jio ₹949 Plan Offers Free JioHotstar for 90 Days

Jio has also introduced free access to JioHotstar with one of its prepaid recharge plans. Last week marked the launch of the newly formed streaming platform, a result of the merger of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar. It merges their content libraries and will also have content from international studios and streaming platforms. The users can take monthly and annual subscription plans while Jio customers can get free access with a certain prepaid recharge plan.

Reliance Jio ₹949 Prepaid Plan Now Includes Free JioHotstar Subscription for 90 Days

Reliance Jio users get an ad-supported JioHotstar subscription for 90 days with the ₹949 prepaid recharge plan. The 84-day validity plan offers unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of high-speed 5G data per day. After the daily quota is consumed, the speed is reduced to 64kbps. The recharge plan also offers access to select Jio apps, such as JioCloud and JioTV, in addition to JioHotstar. JioHotstar’s ad-supported plan costs ₹149 per month and lets users stream content in 720p quality on one mobile device. However, there is a premium plan, which gives extra features and is available for ₹299 every month or ₹1499 every year.

It gives approximately 3 lakh hours of access to JioHotstar, including live coverage of sports, according to Reliance Jio. The platform is available in 10 Indian languages and includes movies, TV shows, anime, documentaries, and live sporting events. Existing JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar subscribers will be automatically migrated to JioHotstar.

Upon their first login, they will be prompted to set up their subscription. Meanwhile, new users can explore JioHotstar plans starting at ₹149 per month. With its extensive content catalog and live sports streaming, JioHotstar aims to attract a wide audience in India. By bundling access with prepaid plans, Reliance Jio is making the platform more accessible to users, enhancing its appeal in the competitive OTT market.
