Crysis Remastered gets its release date set for Sept. 18, 2020, on PlayStation 4, PC via the Epic Games Store, and Xbox One. Previously the launch date was delayed because the screenshots of the visuals were heavily criticized by the viewers.

Crytek, the developer of the game has released a promotional video for the upcoming remastered edition that exhibits the upgrades of the upcoming remaster compared to the original. Not only Crytek and Saber overhauled the textures to high-quality up to 8K resolution but also they have touted monitor bur, new light settings, Global Illuminations (SVOGI), state-of-the-art depth fields, ray tracing and many more.

According to a report released on Friday morning, the ray-tracing will be available on Play Station 4 Pro and Xbox One X. While on PC ray tracing will be available only on Geforce RTX graphics cards. The original version of Crysis was launched in the year 2007 and during that point of time, it instantly got famous because of its stunning visuals and gameplay. This game was a revolution in the gaming industry and it really pushed the PC gaming hardware to the limits.

The story follows Sergeant Michael “Psycho” Sykes, an ally of the main protagonist of the first Crysis game was Jake “Nomad” Dunn, who wears a super-powered nanosuit and fight against North Korea and extraterrestrial enemies. Coincidentally, the game’s story was set in August 2020. The game was followed with two more sequels Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 and both were a huge success.
