There are two new budget laptops in the market that have shaken the industry for their incredible price-to-performance ratio. However, which one should you go for? As both of them have very close pricing, choosing the right one becomes even more important.
The RedmiBook e-learning Edition and the RedmiBook Pro, priced at ₹41,999 and ₹49,999, respectively; these are excellent budget laptops. Sporting 15.6-inch FHD anti-glare displays, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD and sporting up to 10 hours of battery life, Xiaomi has kept the basic right.
Also, you have a great design, good build quality, a large trackpad and a nice keyboard with 1.5mm key travel. The only big difference between the two is that the RedmiBook 15 e-learning Edition sports an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor, while the RedmiBook Pro 15 has a better Intel Core i5-11300H processor. So, overall, considering the price, these are really very cheap and affordable options.
Now, coming to the recently launched Realme Book Slim, this is another laptop that is also quite premium in terms of design and further enhances the price-to-spec ratio.
The Realme Book Slim comes with a 14″ 2K Full Vision IPS display with a peak brightness of 400 nits. It has a display that comes with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The laptop has a metal body with a 90% screen-to-body ratio and a 100% sRGB colour gamut. Also, it will be one of the slimmest and lightest laptops in India, with a thickness of 14.9mm.
With Intel Iris Xe graphics, you also have Wi-Fi 6 technology for connectivity and a Thunderbolt 4 port to charge the battery; the 65W charger provides up to 50% of charge in just 30 minutes. Also, the Realme Book Slim provides an incredible battery life of up to 11 hours; not to forget, you have a backlit keyboard and two Harman Kardon speakers that support DTS Audio.
The laptop comes at an introductory starting price of 44,999 INR for the basic version that features an Intel Core i3 processor with 8GB RAM along 256GB SSD, while the one with an Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD is priced at 56,999 INR.
