Redmi has started building anticipation for its upcoming smartphone, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. In a recent post on Weibo, the brand’s General Manager, Wang Teng Thomas, praised the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, calling it a high-performance and power-efficient processor. He did not forget to mention that a Redmi phone with this new chip is on the way.

Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Teased, Launch Expected in April with 7550mAh Battery

Responding to a user’s comment asking whether the phone would launch in April, Thomas replied with a simple “can,” subtly hinting that the Turbo 4 Pro could debut later this month. It is as if the former talks about the possible delay in launching the product due to an accident with the Xiaomi SU7 plane, where three people lost their lives. The most recent talking points from Thomas really reinforce the idea that the launch calendar is still the same.

As per the leaked specs, Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is expected to feature a 6.83-inch OLED LTPS display with a resolution of 1.5K. It is speculated that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and pack a 7,550mAh battery supporting fast charging at a maximum rate of 90W.

There are chances that the smartphone might pack a 50MP primary shooter having OIS stabilization in addition to an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera. Other potentialities might include the in-display fingerprint scanner, a full metal body, and the IP68/69 classification that allows for dust and water protection.

Interestingly, the Poco F7 recently certified in India is rumored to be a rebranded or modified version of the Turbo 4 Pro. However, Redmi may not be the first to launch a phone with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. iQOO is also teasing its Z10 Turbo Pro, expected to feature the same chipset and launch this month. Pre-bookings for the Z10 Turbo are already open in China, and the company is also preparing to unveil the Dimensity 8400-powered iQOO Z10 Turbo.
