Redmi Router AX6 launched in China, has the support of Wi-Fi 6

After releasing its first Wi-Fi 6 enabled router Redmi Router AX5 back in June, today Redmi officially started selling the next model named Redmi Router AX6. It also has support for Wi-Fi 6. Though currently, this router is only available in China with a 399 yuan (around $57) price tag.

The router body is 320 x 320 x 55 mm in measure and weights 0.95kg. The overall design is very simple, sleek, and elegant, having six antennas attached or an independent signal amplifier.

To power the gadget, Redmi appointed the 14nm Qualcomm six-core enterprise-level chip among which there are four Cortex-A53 cores having 1.4GHz clock speed and dual-core NPU of 1.7GHz for the hardware level acceleration.

Along with the latest Wi-Fi 6 support, the AX6 is also compatible with full Gigabit network port and dual-bands i.e. 2.4GHz and 5GHz so that users can get the wireless rate up to 2976Mbps.

For the long area coverage, features like Mesh Hybrid networking is also enabled in the device. Redmi claims some more features. The list contains OFDMA transmission support, the ability to transmit data from eight devices in one transmission, over 35% less latency, multi-device access to the internet, and more.

As I mentioned earlier, this Redmi Router AX6 is live for sale only in China at present and has only a white color variant available at 399 yuan.
