Earlier this month, Xiaomi announced a new tablet called the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G is under development and today we shared some details as well as real-life images of the device. The smartphone recently received BIS certification in India with model number 24076RP19I hinting at its launch soon.

The Redmi Pad 8.7 SE 4G has also been spotted with the same model in the IMEI database. Though BIS certification and other certifications shed light on the specifications.
The tablet has already been certified by the FCC, and based on that certification it’s expected to be running Xiaomi’s Hyper OS 1.0 as well as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 4G LTE modem, with an FM receiver also packed away inside. It is also listed on the Singapore IMDA database.
The new device is known as the 8.7-inch iPad Mini For reference, the Redmi Pad SE launched back in September 2023 and April 2024 for India is an 11-inch screen. This suggests that the Redmi Pad 8.7 SE 4G may sit at the less premium end of the scale.

Running on Android 13-based MIUI for Pad, the device offers AI face unlock, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0. The tablet weighs 478 grams and measures 255.53 × 167.08 × 7.36 mm.
