The Redmi Pad Pro has its premiere in China and other global markets. Additionally, the firm has also unveiled that its 5G counterpart will be made available in a few regions. The tablet has still not been made available to Indian consumers. However, it seems that the Redmi Pad Pro is going to make its way to India soon. The tablet has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site with a 2405CRPFDI model number, pointing towards an India-specific variant.

The Upcoming Redmi Pad Pro

The BIS listing, though doesn’t reveal any details of specifications or features, it strongly suggests an imminent launch in India. Although unconfirmed, it’s plausible that the Redmi Pad Pro may offer the 5G variant, given its recent appearance on the Google Play Console database. Here’s what to expect from the Redmi Pad Pro upon its India debut:

The Redmi Pad Pro is expected to feature a 12.1-inch screen, providing a greater display experience than options such as Realme Pad 2 and OnePlus Pad Go, at a high resolution of WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels), supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate with its peak brightness also capped at 600 nits, alongside a Corning Gorilla Glass layering for protection. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, the Redmi tablet promises a lag-free performance. The Realme Pad 2 and OnePlus Pad Go both feature the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, while the Lenovo Tab M11 houses a Helio G88 chipset.

Meanwhile, the Realme Pad 2 also features an 8MP camera rear and front similar to this device. However, the OnePlus Pad Go and Lenovo Tab M11 feature a 13MP main camera on the back while an 8MP front shooter. With 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage options, the Redmi tablet is at par with similar offerings like the Realme Pad 2 as well as the OnePlus Pad Go.

Differentiation There, the Pad Pro accommodates a 10,000mAh battery and an electric charge of up to 33W, so it will differ from opponents like Realme Pad 2 with OnePlus Pad Go or Lenovo Tab M11. When it comes to pricing, the Global model of the Redmi Pad Pro 4G has a price tag starting at EUR 299 (roughly ₹27,000) and is offered in both 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256 GB versions.

Meanwhile, in China, the tablet is available in three storage variants, starting at CNY 1,499 (around ₹17,600). It’s anticipated that the tablet will be priced at around ₹20,000 in India, but the official price will be confirmed upon its release. Additionally, it’s worth noting that POCO is gearing up to launch its first tablet, the POCO Pad, which shares similarities with the Redmi Pad Pro and is slated for release in India soon.
