Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker, is soon going to discontinue the Redmi Note 9 5G in China. Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group China and GM of the Redmi brand, yesterday posted on [Weibo](https://weibo.com/1892653244/KFBOJ0F84#comment) announcing that the Redmi Note 9 5G will soon be discontinued in China. The discontinuation process of the Redmi Note 9 5G will be done after November 11’s Singles Day sale. For those unfamiliar, Singles Day is a Chinese unofficial holiday and shopping season that’s not unlike America’s Black Friday.
