The Redmi Note 14 series is launching in China and could make it to the international market later this month. The next of this series is expected to replace the current Redmi Note 13 line which was quite popular with good features like 120W fast charging and a 200MP camera.

The Upcoming Redmi Note 14 Series

According to recent reports, the Redmi Note 14 series is popping up in multiple certifications including 3C, FCC, and IMEI. While the final release date of the Redmi K40 sequence has not been introduced, Redmi General Manager Thomas Wang has begun teasing the collection by using his Weibo account. Wang reveals that the Redmi Note 14 series will feature IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. This is a significant upgrade compared to the IP54 rating of the standard Redmi Note 13 models, though the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ already featured an IP68 rating.

Wang also addressed a common industry standard where devices with a waterproof rating often cannot be repaired if damaged by water. He expressed confidence in the Redmi Note 14 series’ waterproof capabilities and even suggested that a water-damage warranty could be considered for the new models. Wang also reinforced his water resistance, though at the same time making statements that sound awfully similar to battery durability and drop-resistance, akin to the claims made for the iPhone 16 models.

Redmi Note 12 had a 5,000mAh battery with support for up to 120W charging and the Redmi Note Pro Series was powered by a slightly larger capacity of 5100mAh but peak power output there was topped at just over half that speed reaching only up to 67W charging. It is not known if all models of the Redmi Note 14 series will receive an IP68 rating or just some flagship device like the previous generation. With no official launch date yet, further details and teasers about the Redmi Note 14 series are anticipated in the near future.
