Redmi K80 Pro Camera, Processor, and Specs Revealed Ahead of Launch

The Redmi K80 Pro and the basic K80 model are set to be released in China on November 27. In a matter of weeks, the Chinese tech giant will be launching this new device, and ahead of its launch, the company has now shared key specs about the same, including the camera setup, display, battery, and processor.

The K80 Pro’s headline feature is Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 elite processor, which will be paired with the company’s new dual-loop 3D ice cooling, D1 graphics processor, and Rage Engine 4.0. This means improved overall specs of thermal performance, with the reported AnTuTu benchmark score now at 3,194,766.

In terms of photography, the Redmi K80 Pro will feature a triple rear camera setup. It will include an OIS 50MP Light Hunter 800 as the main camera. Also part of the lens trio will be a 50MP floating telephoto lens with both a 2.5x optical zoom and a macro-capable 10cm distance. The third camera is a 32MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with 120-degree FoV, to get the wide shot.

To elevate the photography experience even further, the K80 Pro will be underpinned by Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 platform, introducing second-generation AI-driven features such as FusionLM, ToneLM, ColorLM, and PortraitLM that are aimed at enhancing image quality and improving camera performance. The Redmi K80 Pro will also feature a 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch design.

The display will be protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0, whereas the device will carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. In terms of security, the phone will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint for speedy access. The smartphone will pack a massive 6,000mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support, which means it could serve as a reliable device for users looking for a long-lasting battery.
