Xiaomi REDMI K80 and K80 Pro Launched in China

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the REDMI K80 and K80 Pro smartphones in China, delivering on its earlier promise. Both smartphones have a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED flat panel created with the assistance of TCL, and it uses the latest M9 luminescent material for its peak 3200 nits, while also packing a 120Hz refresh rate and supporting both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

The displays also feature full DC dimming, 2560Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 12-bit color depth capable of displaying 68.7 billion colors. The K80 Pro features an ultra-narrow bottom frame that is 21% slimmer than its predecessor and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC supporting D1 gaming chip as well as a new generation of vapor-liquid separation cooling with a 5400mm² cooling area. It can house up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, augmented by a T1S signal chip, in turn, supercharged with Xiaomi Xingchen Communication (19 5G frequency bands).

Moving on to optics, the K80 Pro comes with a triple rear camera setup, which is headlined by a 50MP Light Fusion sensor with OIS, and accompanied by a 32MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto lens with 10cm macro support. It is rated IP68 and IP69 for durability and houses a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The REDMI K80 has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the same RAM/Storage combinations, the same 6550mAh cell, and 90W wired charging, but drops wireless charging. Its camera system uses the same 50MP main sensor with OIS but replaces the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. The models have a glass back, and a metal frame, and run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0. Additionally, an “Automobili Lamborghini SQUADRA CORSE” edition of the K80 Pro is available which has exclusive design elements, also available in the 16GB + 1TB variant.

Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI K80 and K80 Pro smartphones in China, with prices starting at 2499 yuan ($345) for the K80 and 3699 yuan ($511) for the K80 Pro. The K80 Pro offers configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, priced at 4799 yuan ($660), while the special Champion Edition costs 4999 yuan ($691). The K80 is available in similar configurations with a maximum price of 3599 yuan (~$497). Both models come in multiple color options, with the K80 Pro featuring Snow Rock White, Mountain Green, and Mysterious Night Black, and the K80 adding a Twilight Moon Blue variant.
