All About the Redmi Buds 5 and Buds 5 Pro

Both the Redmi Buds 5 and Buds 5 Pro exhibit a consistent semi-in-ear design featuring a stem and silicone ear tips. A noteworthy feature is the in-ear detection capability, which automatically pauses playback when the earbuds are removed. Additionally, these audio devices boast an IP54 rating, rendering them resistant to dust and water.

In terms of audio capabilities, the Redmi Buds 5 is equipped with 12.4mm and 1.6mm drivers. In contrast, the Pro variant boasts an 11mm subwoofer and a 10mm tweeter. Both models offer three levels of active noise cancellation, reaching up to 52dB for the Buds 5 and 42dB for the Buds 5 Pro. Furthermore, both TWS earphones feature three transparency modes, enhancing awareness of surroundings. The Buds 5 Pro introduces an LHDC 5.0 codec, providing users with an immersive listening experience. The Buds 5 is equipped with two microphones, while the Buds 5 Pro enhances clarity on calls with three microphones, adept at resisting wind noise.

Connectivity-wise, the Redmi Buds 5 series features Bluetooth 5.3, enabling simultaneous connection to two devices. Additionally, the earphones support Google Fast Pair. Xiaomi asserts that both TWS earphones offer a remarkable 10 hours of usage and a total battery life of 40 hours with the charging case.

The Redmi Buds 5 series comes in three vibrant colors – Black, White, and Sky Blue. The standard and pro models are priced at $46 and $78, respectively, providing consumers with diverse options based on their preferences and budget considerations. The global launch of the Redmi Buds 5 series adds another layer of versatility to Xiaomi’s audio offerings, catering to a wide range of users worldwide.
