Redmi Buds 4 Active India Launch: Key Details

The Redmi Buds 4 Active will be introduced as affordable TWS earbuds in India, coinciding with the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 6 on June 13. Xiaomi has given a glimpse of the earbuds’ design while revealing some essential features.

The earbuds will showcase a tall stem and incorporate silicone ear tips for improved grip and passive noise cancellation. They are said to employ “Pro drivers” for enhanced bass and provide an “ultra battery life.” Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi Buds 4 Active will include Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) support and Google Fast Pair functionality.

In India, the earbuds will be available in two color options: White and Black. The oval-shaped case features a charging indicator located next to the USB Type-C port at the bottom.

As the earbuds have already been unveiled globally, their specifications and features are already known. The Buds 4 Active boast 12mm dynamic drivers and support the SBC codec. Unlike the Buds 4, these earbuds do not offer noise cancellation, normal mode, or transparent mode. Instead, they solely feature environment noise cancellation and the normal mode.

Each earbud weighs approximately 3.65 grams, making them quite lightweight. They are equipped with a 34mAh battery, claiming to provide up to five hours of battery life on a single charge. The charging case houses a 440mAh battery and weighs about 34.7 grams.

Xiaomi stated during the global unveiling that the Buds 4 Active would deliver up to 28 hours of battery life with the charging case. Additionally, the earbuds are said to offer up to two hours of battery life with just a 10-minute charge. Other notable features include an IPX4 rating for basic water resistance, support for Google Fast Pair, touch controls for playback and call answering, as well as a low latency mode specifically designed for gaming.
