The second-generation Android tablet from Nubia’s gaming brand RedMagic Gaming Tablet 2 is officially scheduled to ship on September 5th, 2024, rather than the end of August as previously assumed.
However, given RedMagic’s claims that the slate will unleash a “storm of performance” on the tablet industry, it might be worth waiting for. The company’s flagship 9S Pro smartphone is expected to be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition chipset, however this is not confirmed by the teaser.
RedMagic has also disclosed that the tablet would support Snapdragon Elite Gaming features like Game Network Latency Manager, Game Smoother, and Game Fast Loader, therefore it is quite likely that the tablet will run on the Qualcomm platform.
RedMagic Gaming Tablet 2 specifications(rumored)
The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 2, with a 12.4-inch screen, is probably going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It’s expected that the tablet will enable 5G connectivity. It is purported to be the Red Magic Tablet’s replacement, which was introduced officially in July 2023. It is probable that the Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer Edition will be the name given to this product.
As you may remember, the 12.1-inch LD panel on the original Red Magic Tablet has a refresh rate of 144Hz and a resolution of 2K. Up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU were included. It included an 80W fast charging capable 10,000mAh battery.
Additionally, it appears from Nubia’s video teaser that there will be two distinct display sizes available for the Red Magic Gaming Pad. This obviously means that the costs will vary as well, but the hardware should largely stay the same.
