Red Magic even labels this tablet as the ultimate triple-A gaming experience, leveraging on its flagship chipset, high refresh and response rate screen, massive battery, and obviously improved cooling.
The Upcoming Red Magic Nova Gaming Tablet
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition is what powers the core of the Red Magic Nova, which is a clocked-up version with the SoC’s prime Cortex-X4 core boosting to 3.4GHz and the GPU cranked up to 1GHz. That configuration matches the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip for Galaxy, which is the highest-end chipset in performance that Android has to offer.
While Samsung devices are just passive-cooled, the Red Magic Nova goes 9 layers deep with a 20,000 RPM turbofan. It adopts a heat pipe and air duct combination, heat dissipation alloy, graphene material with high thermal conductivity, copper foil on the mainboard for temperature control, uses thermally conductive gel for contact between components, and provides an all-metal aviation-grade aluminum body. Red Magic claims this setup can reduce core temperature by 25°C. The tablet is backed by a 10,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging and can last up to 10 hours of gaming and around 19 hours of general usage.
Design-wise, the Red Magic Nova features a CNC-carved middle frame, a 45-degree anti-slip chamfer, and an anodized back cover. It weighs 520g and is 7.3mm thick. The 10.9-inch display offers a 2880x1800px resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a touch sampling rate of up to 840Hz. The front camera is 20 MP, while the rear sports a 50 MP lens.
