Realme withdraws from OPPO Mall, brand independence believed to be the reason

Realme is one of the rapidly growing technology companies in the market since its establishment in the month of May 2018. This blooming brand was born within the potent OPPO and thus they share a lot of important technology for their products.

Now, though, we see a first sign that could suggest the disengagement of the two brands, or at least a huge autonomy between Realme and OPPO. This is after the exodus of the first products from the official OPPO online store in China.

Realme withdraws its products from the OPPO Mall store in China

As per the ITHome notification, it is no longer feasible to find their products in OPPO Mall. It is crucial to note that this is the official online store of the Chinese technology company OPPO and where we can also find different OnePlus products.

Now, if the customer follows any link to its section, he will be bombed with the following message: “This product has been discarded from the counters, let’s find other products.” Please see that also the tag subsection has been discarded from the app.

Though, the official Realme Mall store is still practical and has a conventional portfolio of brand products. So Chinese customers now need to head over to Realme’s disconnected store if they want to purchase any of their furnishings.

While no reason has been forwarded for the exodus of Realme from OPPO Mall, the independence of the young brand appears to be the reason. This is the contention that collects the most agreement among the publications related to the technology section.

It would not be the first time that a sub-brand has detached from its establishing company after attaining great success in the market. You can take the example, of the disengagement of Redmi, which now works independently of Xiaomi.

It was one of the rapidly growing brands in present years, even in a pandemic situation and with the smartphone market dropping off. So, it is not astonishing that the next step is bigger independence from OPPO, with its own decision-making structure.
