Realme GT Neo hinted to arrive soon with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset

Realme, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, organized the Realme GT launch event on Thursday. At the end of the event, Realme’s vice-president, VP Chase Xu revealed that Realme GT Neo will be the new addition to this GT series which were earlier codenamed as ‘Race’. Not much is known about this Realme GT Neo as of now but what we can know is that this upcoming smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.

This mobile processor from the house of MediaTek was launched in January of this year. With this, Realme GT Neo will be one of the first smartphones which will be run by this new SoC. We can expect the company to reveal a few more details as teasers in the coming few days. The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset comes with a Cortex-A78 prime core, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores. They will click a speed up to 3.0 GHz, 2.6 GHz, and 2.0 GHz respectively. The chipset also includes Mali-G77 MC9 graphics.

Even though much is unknown about this device, the Realme GT Neo is expected to hit the market in the next few weeks. The reports say that Realme GT Neo can be launched by the end of March or early April. The Dimensity 1200 SoC supports a 5G connection and 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This Realme GT Neo can be priced around 2,000 Yuan in China.

Apart from that, the Realme GT 5G will come in two variants which are 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They have priced at 2,899 Yuan or $448) and 3,399 Yuan or $525) in China. Currently, they will be offered at the discount rate at the first sale date (March 10) at discount rates of 2,799 Yuan or $433 and 3,299 Yuan or $510.
