Realme is getting ready to launch two models the Realme GT Neo 6 and GT Neo 6 SE, in the market bringing an exciting upgrade for smartphone fans. Initially, there were expectations that these models would come with the Snapdragon 8d Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processors respectively. However, Realme has now confirmed that the Realme GT Neo 6 SE will be the first to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip.
The Upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 SE
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675) showcases a core cluster setup including 1 x 2.9 GHz Cortex X4 + 4 x 2.6GHz Cortex A720 + 3 +1.9GHz Cortex A520. Paired with the Adreno 732 GPU for handling graphics tasks this mid-range chipset is being praised as an “enhancement” by known tipster Digital Chat Station. It is said to inherit elements from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 commonly found in flagship devices.
In addition to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 SE is expected to offer a range of appealing features. According to insider sources, the device will feature a high-quality 1.5K OLED display with LTPO (temperature polycrystalline oxide) technology support—a rarity among devices in its category. Moreover, it is expected to come with a 5,500mAh battery that can handle 100W charging providing both long-lasting power and quick recharging abilities.
When looking at the model in contrast, to its version the Realme GT Neo 5 SE released in early April of the prior year the improvements, in the next iteration are clear. The GT Neo 5 SE featured the predecessor of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip and a 6.74-inch 1240 x 2772 resolution OLED display. Similarly, it boasted a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging support. Notably, the price of the GT Neo 5 SE was around 2000 Yuan in China (~$278), making it an attractive option in its segment.
