Realme GT 7 Pro Officially Confirmed for Launch This Month

The Realme GT 7 Pro has been officially confirmed for release this month, though the exact launch date has not yet been disclosed. The upcoming smartphone is said to come with a Snapdragon flagship SoC and could feature an upgraded periscope telephoto lens. It will go on sale in international markets including India towards the end of this year.

The announcement was made via Xu Qi Chase, the President of Realme China on Weibo indicating that it will be unveiled in this month and nothing else apart from what is being called the “Snapdragon top flagship chip” under its hood other than periscope telephoto lens. It could be referring to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4/Elite, which will go live later in January.

In another Weibo post, Chase teased the Realme GT 7 Pro’s water-resisting capabilities, suggesting that it may have an IP68 or IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. There are also signs of a new camera island design, though not quite so twisted — instead of being rounded up to break the high curve line, it’s probably carded from circular to square.

The Realme GT 7 Pro is rumored to have a 6.78-inch 1.5K quad-micro curved display, according to several leaks and rumors The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4/Elite will be at the heart of this device, and it might come in various models that can reportedly go up to as much as 16GB RAM + 1TB internal storage. The GT 7 Pro is also expected to pack a battery with over 6,500mAh capacity and support for up to 120W fast charging, which would be the largest battery size in any Realme smartphone to date.

The camera setup is expected to feature a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens on the back. On the front, it may house a 50MP camera with electronic image stabilization (EIS). Additionally, the smartphone is rumored to incorporate Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and will likely run on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 right out of the box.
