The Realme GT 6 is now available in China, and it uses a different chipset among other differences than the global or Indian versions. Last month, the Realme GT 6 model came out globally and in India powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. We take a closer look at the Chinese version of Realme GT 6 and how it differs from its Indian model.
Realme GT 6 Launched in China
The Realme GT 6 in China starts at CNY 2,799 (approximately ₹32,138) for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also comes in a variant with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at CNY 3,099 (approximately ₹35,583). The 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at CNY 3,399 (approximately ₹39,028) and CNY 3,899 (approximately ₹44,769), respectively. The smartphone is available in three color options: Purple, White, and Black.
As for this Chinese version of the Realme GT 6, it looks likely to be exclusive to China and is different in many areas from what we get here in India. Note that the Chinese model has the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while our variant has the pokey-sounding Snapdragon “8s Gen 3” processor.
Realme has also removed one camera in the Chinese variant and sensors differ too. The Indian version has a 50MP Sony LYT-808 sensor while the Chinese version has a 50MP with Sony IMX890. There is a toning down in the front camera, changes have been made from 32MP to 16 MP. In contrast, the Chinese version gets a smidge bigger 5,800mAh battery but with still consists of 120W-rated fast charging. The remaining specs slice cleanly across the two variants.
In terms of display, the Realme GT 6 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and 120Hz. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone also includes a 5,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
In terms of photography, the Realme GT 6 features a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it offers a 16MP front camera. On the software side, the smartphone runs Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. It also includes Wi-Fi 7, NFC, an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, dual stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
