Realme GT 5 Pro Set to Launch in China on December 7, 2023

Realme has officially announced the imminent launch of the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone in China, scheduled for December. Serving as the advanced version of the GT 5 released in August, the Realme GT 5 Pro is positioned as one of the most potent smartphones, boasting the distinction of being the first in the lineup to incorporate a periscope lens. Recent teaser posters from Realme have shed light on key specifications, highlighting the device’s RAM and storage standards, as well as its heat dissipation capabilities.

As confirmed by Realme, the GT 5 Pro will be equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, aligning it with the standard set by other flagship smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Geekbench listings have revealed configurations of up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage for the device.

Moreover, Realme has emphasized the innovative cooling system incorporated into the GT 5 Pro, introducing a 3VC iceberg cooling mechanism with a vapor chamber boasting a substantial 1,2000mm² surface area. This cooling capacity exceeds that of some top-tier gaming smartphones, providing the GT 5 Pro with an impressive 6x thermal conductivity advantage over other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones. Realme asserts that this technology results in a remarkable 21.8-degree reduction in the CPU core temperature, contributing to unparalleled performance from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor within the GT 5 Pro.

The official specifications disclosed by Realme ahead of the December 7 launch in China include a 50MP Sony IMX 890 periscope telephoto sensor, a 50MP Sony LYT808 primary lens, an 8MP OV08D10 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a BOE 1.5K resolution AMOLED display. The device features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 3000 nits brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
