Realme is building up excitement for the launch of its flagship model, the Realme GT 5 Pro, in India after its release in China. This top-of-the-line smartphone boasts premium features such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a 144Hz OLED display, and an advanced 50MP periscope telephoto lens. The launch event is expected to take place in January 2024.
The Teased Realme GT 5 Pro
Realme is getting ready to introduce its flagship phone the Realme GT5 Pro, to the market. After making waves in China on December 7 2023 this smartphone has gained attention for its specs and stylish design. The company has given a sneak peek of the launch with a poster on X (formerly Twitter) using the hashtag #NoPeriscopeNoFlagship that hints at the unique periscope telephoto lens featured in its circular camera setup.
The Chinese version of the Realme GT 5 Pro comes with storage options and is available in three colors; Black, White, and Orange. In China, prices start at ¥3,399 (~₹39,900) for the 12GB + 256GB model. Go up to ¥4,299 (~₹50,500) for the 16GB + 1TB model. The device is expected to make its way, to India as next month (January 2024).
The Indian version of the Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to have specifications as the model available, in China. The upcoming flagship smartphone offers a 6.78-inch curved display with LTPO technology providing a 144Hz refresh rate that automatically adjusts to optimize performance. Additionally, it boasts a touch sampling rate of 2160Hz and can achieve remarkable brightness levels, up to 4,500 nits. The display incorporates a punch-hole cutout for the 32MP selfie camera.
Powering the Realme GT 5 Pro is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, solidifying its status as a flagship contender. The device is equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. With one of the largest heat dissipation units featuring a 12,000mm² surface area, the device ensures optimal performance.
In the camera department, the Realme GT 5 Pro stands out with a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera with OIS, a 50MP Sony IMX890 periscopic telephoto shooter offering 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens. The Realme GT5 Pro packs a massive 5,400mAh battery and supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The smartphone operates on the Android 14 OS with the Realme UI 5.0 custom skin.
