Brands are no longer padding specs sheets with hollow numbers — buyers are smarter, and the competition is ruthless. realme’s C-series has historically targeted first-time smartphone buyers and students, but the C83 5G signals a shift. The inclusion of a **144Hz smooth display** and **IP64 dust and water resistance** at this price point is a direct challenge to rivals like the Redmi 14C 5G and Samsung Galaxy M15 5G. The timing matters too — with 5G network rollouts accelerating across Tier 2 and Tier 3 Indian cities, an affordable 5G handset with serious battery muscle is exactly what the market needs right now. ![realme C83 5G](https://images.technosports.co.in/2026/03/realme-C83-5G-1024x841.jpg) --- ## Full Specifications and Key Features The realme C83 5G is built around the **MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset**, a capable mid-entry 5G processor that handles everyday multitasking without breaking a sweat. Here’s what you’re getting: - **Display:** 6.72-inch IPS LCD, **144Hz refresh rate**, HD+ resolution - **Processor:** MediaTek Dimensity 6300, octa-core - **RAM/Storage:** **4GB RAM + 128GB storage** (expandable via microSD) - **Battery:** **7000mAh** with **45W fast charging** - **Rear Camera:** 50MP primary + secondary lens - **Front Camera:** 8MP - **OS:** realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 - **Build:** **IP64 rated**, MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification - **Colours:** Jade Green, Midnight Black - **Price:** **Rs. 13,499** (introductory) The **45W fast charging** support on a 7000mAh cell is genuinely impressive here — most competitors at this price cap out at 18W or 25W. --- ## Performance, Display, and Battery Life The [Dimensity 6300](https://www.mediatek.com/products/smartphones/mediatek-dimensity-6300) isn’t a powerhouse, but it’s honest about what it is. Day-to-day tasks — scrolling, streaming, light gaming — run without hiccups. The **144Hz panel** makes a visible difference when swiping through menus; it feels noticeably smoother than the 90Hz screens common at this price. Battery life is the headline act. A **7000mAh cell** will comfortably last two full days for moderate users. Heavy users — those streaming video or gaming for extended sessions — should still clear a full day with ease. Pair that with **45W charging** and you’re looking at roughly 70-80 minutes for a full charge, which is competitive. Check out our [battery life deep-dives](https://technosports.co.in/tag/battery-life/) for how this stacks up against other long-lasting budget phones. --- ## Camera, Software, and Durability The **50MP rear camera** produces decent daylight shots with good colour reproduction, though low-light performance — as expected at this price — is average at best. Video is capped at 1080p. The **8MP selfie camera** handles well-lit indoor shots competently. ![realme C83 5G](https://images.technosports.co.in/2026/03/product_5-1024x687.webp) realme UI 6.0 on Android 15 is clean and relatively bloat-free compared to previous generations. The **IP64 rating** means splash and dust resistance is real — not just marketing. The **MIL-STD-810H certification** covers drops, vibration, and temperature extremes, making this a solid pick for users with physically demanding lifestyles or outdoor jobs. **People Also Ask: Is the realme C83 5G good for gaming?** For casual gaming — titles like BGMI on low-medium settings or Call of Duty Mobile — the Dimensity 6300 handles it adequately. The 144Hz display adds smoothness. Hardcore gaming at high settings isn’t this phone’s strength, but for the price, it punches above expectations. --- ## Quick Comparison | Option | Key Spec | Price | Best For | Rating | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | **realme C83 5G** | 7000mAh, 144Hz, IP64, Dimensity 6300 | Rs. 13,499 | Battery life + rugged use | 8.5/10 | | **Redmi 14C 5G** | 5160mAh, 90Hz, Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 | Rs. 12,999 | Balanced everyday performance | 8.0/10 | | **Samsung Galaxy M15 5G** | 6000mAh, 90Hz, Dimensity 6100+ | Rs. 13,999 | Brand trust + AMOLED display | 7.8/10 | --- ## Frequently Asked Questions **Q: What is the launch price of the realme C83 5G in India?** A: The realme C83 5G launches at **Rs. 13,499** as an introductory price in India. **Q: Does the realme C83 5G support fast charging?** A: Yes — it supports **45W fast charging**, which is notably fast for a phone with a 7000mAh battery at this price tier. **Q: What Android version does the realme C83 5G run?** A: It ships with **Android 15** under realme UI 6.0. **Q: Is the realme C83 5G waterproof?** A: It carries an **IP64 rating**, meaning it’s resistant to dust and water splashes, though it’s not fully submersible. **Q: How does the realme C83 5G compare to the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G?** A: The C83 5G wins on battery capacity (7000mAh vs 6000mAh), refresh rate (144Hz vs 90Hz), and fast charging speed (45W vs 25W).
