Real Sociedad have a total agreement for Rafinha loan deal with PSG

Brazilian midfielder Rafinha is all set to return to La Liga after spending the first half of the season with Paris Saint-Germain. Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with the French club for the player, and he will be signed on a loan deal until the end of the season.

There is no option to buy the player included in the deal, meaning he will return to France when his loan deal expires. He has only made five Ligue 1 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino since the start of the season.

And with so many options available for the Argentinian, it is unlikely that he will be receiving a lot of game time in the months to come. So, a loan deal is the best solution for all parties involved as Rafinha will get a chance to play regularly with La Real.

How will Rafinha’s arrival help Sociedad?

After starting out the season very strongly, Real Sociedad have struggled to perform in recent weeks. They are currently in sixth place with 29 points from 18 games, on the back of four straight defeats in the league.

The arrival of an attack-minded midfielder like Rafinha will help them create more opportunities going forward. The 28-year-old can play in a variety of positions in the centre of the park, and can make a difference if he adapts to the playing style.

An official announcement for the signing of the player can be expected imminently from Real Sociedad, as the January transfer window draws nearer.
