Arda Guler scored on his European Championship debut against Georgia to guide Turkey to a 3-1 win in their opening game of the tournament. The Real Madrid midfielder made history by becoming the youngest player to represent Turkey at the Euros at the age of 19.
The attacking midfielder has now scored on his full debut for Madrid, as well as Turkey in the Euros. And in total, his tally comes to seven goals in seven starts for club and country this season.
More impressively, he has become the youngest player since Cristiano Ronaldo to score on their Euro debut, overtaking a Madrid legend in the process.

The teenager unleashed an unbelievable strike from outside the box to score Turkey’s second goal of the game and shift the result in their favour. He was left completely free, and took his time to launch an unstoppable curling effort which ended up in the top left corner.
This was only Guler’s second goal for the Turkish national team, having earned eight caps. Although he missed the first half of the season with Madrid due to repetitive injuries, he is now showing his quality at the biggest stages, and is certainly a talent to look out for in the coming years.
