Real Madrid have an important few weeks coming up in terms of contract extensions. The deals of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vasquez are expiring at the end of the season, and a renewal is yet to be finalised between the two parties.
Nacho Fernandez will leave the club in the summer, as he has already agreed to try a new challenge and move away from Los Blancos. And if the other veterans don’t agree to a new deal, they could follow the central defender through the exit door.

❗️ As reported yesterday, Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić cases are still open — despite previous pacts/plans in March, anything can still happen.

Toni Kroos already agreed to a new contract with Real Madrid back in March, adding one more year to his deal. However, Luka Modric’s situation has been a bit ambiguous since the Croatian is 38 years old, and has seen his game time significantly reduced this season.
While Modric has made 40 appearances across LaLiga and the Champions League, 20 of them have been from the bench. Kroos, on the other hand, has played 42 games and has started 31. The two icons are still considered important players in spite of their age, and they might end up staying if they can agree to a new contract.
Madrid are also confident of extending the contract of Lucas Vasquez and Andriy Lunin, on the back of their impressive performances this summer. But the talks will likely take place after the Champions League final on June 1, when the season is over.
