Real Madrid have a big summer ahead of them, and they will have to work the squad to deal with the changes taking place. Sergio Ramos has already left the club to join PSG, and Raphael Varane could follow him through the exit route.
Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Gareth Bale has no intentions of retiring from football this summer. The Welshman intends on seeing out his contract until the end of 2022 and will make a decision then.
AC Milan are also expected to sign Brahim Diaz on a loan deal once again, with the option to buy. The attacking midfielder impressed during his initial loan deal at San Siro, and could end up there permanently when the season ends. Madrid would have the option to buy him back from the Italian club in the future.
Along with Diaz, Isco is also on his way out of the club. The player has fallen down the order in the squad and featured very sparingly for the team in the 20/21 season. The club could now look to move him on for good, and turning to Martin Odegaard for the future since he intends on fighting for his place under Carlo Ancelotti. Alvaro Odriozola is also expected to leave permanently this summer.
Marcelo will be wearing the armband this season, following the departure of Ramos. There were rumours that he could leave the club as well, but Carlo Ancelotti has no intentions of letting the Brazilian leave this summer.
