Real Madrid have completed the transfer of Enrique Herrero from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 17-year-old has posted on his Instagram account about the move, and is expected to link up with the youth at the Spanish capital soon.

He arrived at Frankfurt last season, after making a move from Villarreal. But, he hasn’t been able to adapt to the style of football abroad. Frankfurt were not willing to sanction the transfer initially, but were persuaded to let the player go since it would be the best deal for all parties. And now, Enrique Herrero has the chance to impress for the biggest club in Spain.

The teenager plays as a centre forward, and will be training at the Valdebebas with the rest of the team. Since he is not allowed to play yet, he will be focusing on getting used to the style of play at Real Madrid at their training campus.

The youngster had also attracted interest from Barcelona, but were beaten to the signing by their rivals. Herrero himself was always clear about the fact that he preferred a move to Los Blancos. And now, he has his dream move lined up for him.

Real Madrid are investing in the future, with several young talents coming to the forefront for the club. As their veterans slowly start to phase out, we will be seeing the next generation of players come to the forefront more prominently.
