Real Madrid made three bids to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, with bids worth €160 million, €180 million and €220 million rejected by PSG.
With only one year remaining on his current contract, Mbappe will be a free agent next summer and will be able to join any club of his choice for free. The Frenchman has been vocal about his desire to play for Real Madrid in the future, and it seems like that will be fulfilled next summer when he joins as a free agent.
Madrid have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland since his emergence at the German club. Although Dortmund were determined to keep him this summer, his release clause worth €75 million will be active next summer.
So, should Madrid match the one-time price tag set by the club, they will only have to agree personal terms with Haaland for the move to be completed. Haaland is reportedly excited about the idea of playing at the Bernabeu, and will be the focal point of the attack in the future.
Florentino Perez and co maintain a good relationship with Dortmund following the loan deals of Achraf Hakimi and Reinier Jesus. Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola has also been in contact with Real Madrid regarding a potential move for his client. And after being quiet in the last few windows, Madrid could finally come back to life on the business front by signing two of the best young attackers in the world at the same time.
