Borussia Dortmund player Jude Bellingham has been attracting top European clubs since his Birmingham City days. The English midfielder has also impressed in the FIFA World Cup 2022 as he was among the top players in the tournament and held the midfield together for England.

Real Madrid and Liverpool were the biggest admirers of Bellingham but he is more inclined towards Real Madrid. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is pushing for the Jude Bellingham deal and wants to seal it soon so they don’t have to face any last-minute surprises. They don’t want another Mbappe-like situation. Los Blancos had a verbal agreement with Mbappe but the Frenchman made a U-turn in the last minutes and chose to stay at PSG and renewed his contract in 2022.

Real Madrid want to sign Jude Bellingham soon to avoid a Mbappe-like situation

According to various reports, Real Madrid are willing to spend a total package of €100m+ to sign the 19-year-old from Borussia Dortmund.

  • €100m transfer fee for Dortmund
  • 5-year contract
  • €12m in annual salary
  • €1b release clause

Bellingham is looking to leave Dortmund in the summer and prioritizes Real Madrid. However, things are not final and many other factors will come into play before the final signing.

Real Madrid see the English midfielder as the perfect heir to Luka Modric. The Spanish club would like to finalize the deal in January as soon as possible. They want Modric to guide him next season. They see the midfield of Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga and Bellingham as their future as the famous trio of Modric, Casemiro and Kross are in the last laps.
