Real Betis are working to complete the signing of Lazio centre-back Luiz Felipe in the coming days. A verbal agreement has been reached between the player and the club, and it is only a matter of time before the paperwork for the transfer is complete as well.

The Brazilian centre-back joined Lazio in 2016 for a sum worth €750,000. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, he will be able to leave as a free agent. As a result, Real Betis are expected to complete his signing in the coming days as a free agent.

The other player that Betis will be signing in the coming days is Fluminense’s Luiz Henrique. The president of the club, Mario Bittencourt has confirmed the imminent departure of the 21-year-old, and the transfer will be complete soon.

“We’ve signed a pre-contract for 85% of Luiz Henrique’s rights for €13m,” Bittencourt said. “Our economic situation forced us to accept the offer, to which we must add that the player will receive a stratospheric salary in Spain. We’re not happy to have to let a talent like this leave in the middle of the season.”

Real Betis won their first trophy in 17 years by lifting the Copa del Rey this season. They have confirmed their spot in the Europa League next season as well, and are building a strong squad for the coming years.
