With 14-inch laptops arriving in higher frequency, it’s only natural that the Razer Blade 14 2023 version arrives soon. Like the previous model, this upcoming gaming laptop is said to be paired with the latest AMD Ryzen CPU and an NVIDIA RTX 4000 series laptop GPU.
The latest and greatest components are included in the Razer Blade 14 2023, so you can be sure that your gaming experience will be top-notch. The Ryzen 9 7940HS and RTX 4070 provide powerful performance that is sure to satisfy even the most demanding gamers.
The Ryzen 9 7940HS is an 8-core, 16-thread part that can boost up to 5.20GHz. However, the RTX 4070 has an unknown power limit and could be limited to 90W when running in the newer 14-inch gaming laptop. However, the 2022 version of the Razer Blade 14 could be equipped with an RTX 3080 Ti, which is capable of running up to a 100W with NVIDIA’s Dynamic Boost enabled.
This means that the RTX 4070 would be able to run more comfortably and at its full power in the Razer Blade 14.
The 2023 Razer model will have either the same power limit as the current model or an increase, and the RTX 4070 has exclusive features that will allow for higher framerates in supported games. Unfortunately, the RTX 4070’s 8GB GDDR6 VRAM limit may prove to be a bottleneck in upcoming games, and we don’t know if more powerful SKUs with an RTX 4080 will arrive. Given that Razer crammed in an RTX 3080 Ti in the same model last year, we’re confident that the 2023 model will be even better.
The new Razer Blade 14 will likely have a vapor chamber cooler to help tame the powerful components, and we are excited to see how the Ryzen 9 7940HS will perform in a chassis like this, as it is more power-efficient than last year’s Ryzen 9 6900HX. During CES 2023, AMD boasted that its latest CPU is 30 percent faster than Apple’s M1 Pro and can deliver up to 30 hours of battery life.
There are some components that will be soldered to the motherboard, such as the PCIe NVMe drive and Wi-Fi card. However, the RAM will most likely be available in a 32GB DDR5 option, just like the earlier iterations. This would provide enough memory for many AAA titles.
