Razer announces its new $100 Wolverine V2 Xbox controller to replace its Wolverine Ultimate

Its been a year since the launch of Razer’s $100 Wolverine V2 Xbox controller, and the company announced yesterday that its latest $150 version of the Xbox controller and will come with more features called the Wolverine V2 Chroma.

Based on the name of the controller we can easily figure out one of the features coming to the controller, which is a strip of Chroma RGB lighting near each of the two grips that can be programmed to your liking via its accessory companion app on an Xbox or PC.

The latest announced controller from Razer will be replacing the Wolverine Ultimate that was released in late 2017. similar to the older controller, the Wolverine V2 Chroma has swappable thumbsticks like those included with the Xbox Elite controllers and Scuf’s Instinct. We also have trigger stops to shorten the throw of triggers and the six remappable macro buttons which can be customized.

However, the latest controller from Razer will have some additional improvements over its predecessor. According to official sources, the Wolverine V2 Chroma’s LED implementation is a bliss to see and its shape and overall design are simply amazing.  It also will be using USB-C instead of the Ultimate’s Micro USB port.

But the latest controller also has its back-draws, since the older Wolverine Ultimate offers a little more customization for a lower price which is currently at $129.99. since the old model’s D-pad can be swapped and it also doesn’t require software to remap its button, instead of letting you do it right from the controller.

For more information stay tuned.
