Additionally, he threw himself into every part and was so believable in everything that he did that even the audience lost themselves in his portrayal.
Ray Stevenson was taken to the hospital just before his death on Sunday from the set of a movie he had just started shooting in Italy, people close to the family told PEOPLE.

According to sources who spoke with PEOPLE, the actor was transported off the movie location to a local hospital on Saturday afternoon. According to one account, Ischia’s Cassino production was abruptly halted.

As of right now, no other details on Stevenson’s cause of death are known.
Frank Ciota, the director of Cassino in Ischia, stated on Facebook on May 15th, “This week we are filming in Ischia. Ray is just amazing!” The movie is centered around Stevenson’s character Nic Cassino, an action movie star who was formerly well-liked and travels to Italy in an attempt to “make the first ever Neo-Realist’ action film with down-on-their-luck Italian directors.” Per Deadline.
But as Deadline noted in its synopsis, “he is forced to make peace with everything he left behind on his road to fame when unresolved struggles with his family resurface.”
The actor portrayed antagonist Governor Buxton in the crossover Bollywood hit RRR in 2022, as well as in the movies Memory and Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday, the year before Stevenson passed away.
