Raphinha has hit back at claims that he has agreed to leave Barcelona this summer. The forward commented on a post on Instagram, and denied any such rumours firsthand.

“Whoever said this is lying. This is lying. Whoever said this is a liar, misinformed and unprofessional. If my comment gets deleted I’ll post on my instagram,” the winger commented.

In recent weeks, speculation surrounding the former Leeds United winger’s future has intensified. He has been linked with an exit from Barcelona this summer, as the club looks to raise funds. Chelsea and Newcastle United have been strongly linked, but there has been no contact with either clhb as of yet.

Raphinha signed for Barcelona only this past summer for £55 million after a long-drawn transfer saga with Chelsea also trying to sign him. A sum worth £90 million has been quoted for him to leave the club this summer, but it seems unlikely that he will want to leave.

Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres, unlike Raphinha, are on the transfer list and have a chance to leave the club this summer. Offers have not arrived for them yet, but could start to materialise as the transfer window approaches.

Barcelona are looking to re-sign Lionel Messi, while also adding Inigo Martinez and Ilkay Gundogan to their squad on free transfers. But, they will have to somehow trim their wage bill and raise funds to register new players and contracts for their existing players.
