Sanjay Leela Bhansali has never done “subtle” — and the first-look poster of *Love & War* proves it again. Ranbir Kapoor’s much-awaited character reveal is finally here, and it’s nothing like the polished period-drama hero fans expected.

### Ranbir Kapoor Looks Ready for War, Not Romance

The poster shows Ranbir behind the wheel of a vintage car — buzz cut, T-shirt, glasses — but it’s his bruised, blood-streaked hand that steals the frame. Bhansali Productions captioned it “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!” on Instagram, and co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt shared it too, with Vicky confirming the release date in his post.

This marks Ranbir’s [first film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanjay_Leela_Bhansali) since *Saawariya* nearly two decades ago, and Alia’s return to his world after *Gangubai Kathiawadi*. ### Why This First Look Matters?
